variety of wines under his
own Broman Cellars brand.
Though Cabernet is a
grape adaptable to many
soils and climates, it likes
warmer days and cooler
nights and soils with good
drainage. Such characteristics
are found primarily in coastal
a r e a s . Ta s i C a b e r n e t
Sauvignon is medium ruby in
color with focused currant,
blackberry, and cracked
pepper spice. The wine
finishes with sweet smoke
and a hint of vanilla. Serve
with red meats and game.
asi means "by the
sea," which, not
coincidently, offers
the best climate in which to
grow grapes. The grapes for
our selection came from
cooler coastal locations in
California. The cool weather
allows the grapes to mature
slowly on the vine, thus also
picking up the nutrients from
the soil through the root
system. That’s where the
flavor comes from, so the
longer on the
vine without a
heat spike, the
more flavor in
the grapes.
